THE OPPORTUNITY 

Exciting and challenging position for someone who is just starting their career in accounting, construction, or business. The Accounting Coordinator has the critical responsibility of filing pre-liens, lien waivers, and warranty work. This is a growth opportunity for an individual who is hungry to learn and take on new tasks and responsibilities. You will report to the Controller of a well-established specialty sub-contracting company in the Salt Lake City area.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Responsible for the pre-lien process which includes filing, following up with customers when information is needed and responding to vendor's requests for information in a timely manner
• Manage check runs including printing outstanding invoice reports, obtaining signatures and mailing out payments
• Avoids legal challenges by complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Maintains historical records by preparing and filing documents
• Verifies information by auditing and proofing reports
• Assists with processing daily deposits.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Exceptionally organized, thorough, and detailed oriented in order to enter accounts payable and accounts receivable information correctly into our accounting software
• Proactive, intuitive, self-starter who is flexible and eager to learn the accounting function
• "Must have" strong math skills, foundational knowledge of excel and strong communication skills both written and oral
• Accounting and/or construction experience is a plus
