THE OPPORTUNITY AT STEEL ENCOUNTERS

The Industrial Maintenance Lead, will supervise all Fabrication Facility maintenance operations and processes. As a Maintenance Lead at Steel Encounters, you’ll have the opportunity to use your experience and utilize innovative thinking to ensure reliability of machines, electrical systems, tooling, and equipment that will improve our competitiveness in the industry.

The Industrial Maintenance Lead will manage preventative maintenance activities, repairs, and installation of all Fabrication Facility operational equipment. This role requires professional maintenance experience ensuring the reliability of machines, tooling, electrical systems, HVAC, material handling equipment, plumbing, and air compressor systems.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Supervise all maintenance care operations at the Fabrication Facility and ensure reliability of all operational equipment
  • Actively participate in new facility process flow projects and new facility equipment expenditures
  • Support predictive maintenance technologies and facility digital transformation initiatives
  • Manage maintenance budget and track all maintenance expenses
  • Conduct regular inspections on machines, equipment, cranes, and forklifts at the facility. Plan and manage repairs if necessary.
  • Create, implement, and maintain maintenance standard operating procedures
  • Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs
  • Oversee inventory and replenishment of equipment and spare parts
  • Perform forecasting and price negotiation of spare parts inventory
  • Supervise the hiring of subcontractors for specialized maintenance and installation work
  • Seek innovative methods to improve facility reliability and reduce the risk of operational interruptions
  • Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management and/ or in an Engineering discipline is preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in plant maintenance initiatives. Previous maintenance leadership experience is a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of technical features in servomotors, 5-axis machines, electrical systems, plumbing systems, welding, tooling, material handling equipment, and CNC PLC programs
  • Experience with setting up maintenance reliability programs
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to seek solutions to complex maintenance problems
  • Optimize maintenance initiatives through continuous improvement efforts or emerging technologies
  • Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Able to use Microsoft Office, Procore, Solid works, AutoCAD and/ or similar software applications

WAGE & BENEFITS:

  • Wage negotiable - based on experience
